Android Studio

Getting Started...

Welcome to Android application development on Android Studio!
This post basically talks about, in detail, the steps I took to build my first Android app using a new and really cool Android development environment called Android Studio, by Google. This IDE is similar to Eclipse with the ADT Plugin. Note that only an early release version of this IDE is available for download. Several features may be either incomplete or not yet implemented and you may encounter bugs.
You may view this post as a 1-stop-shop for all the resources you may need (rather, what I needed) to build my first Android App on Android Studio.
Before we start, be sure you have your development environment set up. You need to first Download and Install Android Studio.
If you have an older version of Android Studio, follow this link to update from older versions.
